Most entrepreneurs think they need more followers, fancier funnels, or a high-ticket offer to generate leads. But after conducting dozens of brand audits, here’s what I’ve found:
You don’t need more stuff. You need more clarity.
Take Anne, a brilliant entrepreneur juggling motherhood, marriage, faith, and building a consultancy that helps women leave corporate and launch online businesses. She had content, presence, and even ads running… but her messaging? It wasn’t hitting.
After walking through a complete profile and content audit, we found key opportunities that apply to just about every service-based entrepreneur.
If you’ve ever wondered why your content isn’t converting or why no one’s DM’ing you even though you’re posting consistently, this is for you.
First, Stop Hiding on Your Personal Profile
Your personal profile isn’t just for family and friends. It’s your most underused marketing asset.
Here’s what you can do today:
- Add a banner image that clearly communicates who you help and how.
- Use your intro space to speak directly to your ideal client.
- Link your business page by adding your company as your current workplace.
Simple? Yes. But most profiles look more like a scrapbook than a brand.
Next, Get Your Message Out of “Expert Mode”
One of the biggest mistakes I see coaches and consultants make? Using vague language.
Don’t talk about “digital presence” or “unlocking online potential.” Instead, say:
- “Feel stuck in your 9-5?”
- “Want to work from anywhere and still make real income?”
That’s what your audience feels. That’s what moves them to action.
Create Content That Converts Conversations
Posting for the sake of posting won’t grow your business. Your content must lead people somewhere.
Here’s a simple formula for your weekly content:
- Testimonial Tuesday – Showcase a client win. Case studies build credibility.
- Storytime Thursday – Share something personal from your journey.
- Saturday Spark – Post a one-liner “hand-raiser” question to prompt engagement. Example:
“If I could show you how to match your corporate salary online, would you want to learn how?”
When they comment, move to DMs. That’s where sales happen.
A 15-Minute-a-Day Growth Strategy
Here’s the routine that builds traction without burnout:
- Engage with 5–10 ideal clients a day.
- Comment on 2–3 of their posts.
- Send a friendly DM to say hello and start the convo.
Not everyone will buy. But many will remember you. And when the time is right—they’ll come back.
LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram: One Message, Three Platforms
Each platform has a different vibe:
- Facebook – Great for connection, storytelling, and warm leads.
- LinkedIn – Ideal for professionals and direct offers.
- Instagram – Visual storytelling and reels are king.
Use the same core message but adapt your tone and format. Repurpose intelligently.
Final Thoughts: You Are the Brand
We often compartmentalize: this is my mom-life, this is my business, this is my faith. But your audience wants all of you.
As a coach, consultant, or service-based entrepreneur, your personal brand is the secret sauce. Don’t dilute it. Don’t hide behind logos. Be human. Be seen.
If you’re ready to make your profile your most profitable platform, go back and do the audit:
- Is your messaging clear?
- Are you telling your story?
- Are you starting conversations?
Because if not, you’re not building a brand. You’re just posting.
Let’s change that.
